Fixing and solving

It’s funny that I often heard from friend that how their other half likes to fix ‘the relationship’ and how it was not working out for them.  I had to admit that I am one of those fixer.   Well, why not.  We were taught while growing up that we should always try to fix things that are broken.   So we learn to fix our toy, toilet bowl, computer and into relationship.  We were all so well-trained that we seriously believe that everything is ‘fixable’.
But it took me long enough to …

Have you eaten yet?
This is a very basic manner in Asia.  When someone come to your house as a guest, you will always ask whether they have eaten or not.   Especially if you setup an appointment around meal time, you will automatically assume they haven’t eaten yet and offer food first before you go on to any business you were originally planning for.  so if any of you ever travel to Asia, you should be hearing this phrase quite often.  ’Have you eaten yet?’ might be the very next …

She asked her mother “Mom, do you dream with your right brain or left brain?”.  Not that she could tell the difference between dreaming with right brain or left brain, so I asked “Do you know the difference between dreaming with our right brain, or dreaming with your left brain?”
As I expected, she shaked her head. The reason for her to ask her mother that very specific question was simply curiosity!
So I laughed.  What an interesting question from a 9 years …

I looked at him and smiled “Sure, then you will have to change your sentence form I want into I will.  If you keep saying that for 5 years, I am sure you will be rich one day.”
My son quietly structed the sentence in his head, and then looked at me with confusion and asked “Why?”
I answered “Because, most of people who said ‘I want’, don’t really believe that they …
